Compare Fragrance is an independent perfume comparison and review platform founded by Leo Devis. It exists because choosing a fragrance online is genuinely hard, and most tools designed to help are built around selling, not informing.

I have been obsessed with fragrance for as long as I can remember. What started as a curiosity about why certain scents felt familiar, warm, or unsettling turned into years of serious study: reading about perfume history, learning the difference between fragrance families, understanding how notes interact at different stages of wear, and spending a considerable amount of time and money testing everything I could find.
After years of answering the same questions for friends and family, the answer was always the same: try these two, compare them side by side, think about when and where you want to wear it, and decide based on what the fragrance actually does rather than what the bottle looks like. Nobody had built a proper tool to make that comparison easy.
So I built it myself. Compare Fragrance is the site I wish had existed when I started. Every fragrance description, longevity figure, and recommendation on this platform comes from genuine knowledge and direct experience, not from a press kit or a paid placement.
My goal is simple: help you spend your money on a fragrance you will actually love, and give you the vocabulary and confidence to keep making great choices on your own.
Why this site exists
